“I’ve never had the desire to be a stockbroker—I’m more concerned about helping people stay on track to meet their long-term financial goals. I come from a family of educators, and I was fortunate to see first-hand how regular people could realize their lifestyle and retirement dreams by making smart saving and investment decisions.” ~Jon
Jon began his career with a large, well-known financial services firm. In late 2004, Jon joined Viewpoint Financial Advisors to be free to make recommendations based solely on what’s right for his clients, without pressure to sell proprietary products. In that time, he has built a growing client base of more than 130 households from Greater Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay.
With more than 18 years as a financial consultant, Jon’s primary focus is in the areas of family wealth management and retirement planning. As the son of a college instructor and the husband of an elementary school teacher, Jon has an intimate knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing educators. Being privileged to work with so many teachers and faculty, Jon has developed an extensive depth of knowledge of California’s retirement systems, such as CalPERS, CalSTRS, and TSAs and 403(b)s. Jon also works with many clients who are retiring from large corporations and helps them determine the retirement benefit options that best suit their needs.
Jon and his wife, Christina, have been married for 15 years. They reside in Moorpark, California, a small town in Ventura County, with their two children, Gabriela and Luc. Jon attended Alemany High School (where he met his wife), College of the Canyons, and received a baseball scholarship from Cal State Sacramento, where he was the starting catcher on the men’s baseball team. On most weekends, Jon and Christina spend their time watching Gabriela play club soccer for the Camarillo Eagles and Luc play travel hockey with the Ventura Mariners.
